I'm Kayla (she/her), a proud Latina woman & Milwaukee, Wisconsin native. I am passionate about all things coffee, true crime podcasts, plants, bulldogs, yoga, & color.

I started Clay Creations by Kayla unexpectedly during the 2020 shutdown, where I found myself desperately in a place where I needed to create something beautiful, just for me, with my own hands.

What started as just sporadic posts on my personal Instagram & then an Etsy page with a further reach, has now become a website, in person markets & a beautiful growing community.

In 2022, I expanded my passion for clay and began to learn about pottery and ceramics. Turning a passionate hobby into a small business yet again, my clay creations now also include home-throne stoneware, many with hand-poured soy wax candles inside. When candles have burned down, a new ceramic mug, tea cup, or planter is ready to enjoy!

I hope that as I express myself by making wearable and usable art, others can find authentic self-expression in my clay creations. I am beyond thankful!
